Steel Column Support

Steel column support is a steel component with vertical load-bearing as the core function in construction engineering,which is specially used to transmit the vertical load of the building structure(such as concrete weight,equipment weight,construction live load),and stably transmit the load from the superstructure to the foundation or ground.It is the core application form of steel pillars,which has the advantages of high strength and high stability,and some scenarios will be combined with anti-corrosion processes(such as galvanization)to improve durability,which is a key component to ensure the safety of vertical structures.From the perspective of core types,steel column supports can be divided into two categories according to"usage scenarios"and"adjustment characteristics":one is temporary adjustable steel column support,which focuses on construction flexibility and is suitable for temporary scenarios such as formwork support and scaffolding poles.The main body is Q235/Q355 seamless steel pipe(common diameterΦ48mm,Φ60mm),equipped with a thread adjustment structure(such as spiral top support),with a height adjustable range of 300-2000mm,and a single point load bearing of 20-80kN.For example,when pouring a 200mm thick floor slab,Φ48mm adjustable steel column support is selected to accurately control the elevation of the formwork by adjusting the threads,taking into account the construction accuracy and load-bearing requirements.The other type is permanently fixed steel column support,which focuses on long-term structural load-bearing and is used in permanent buildings such as industrial plants and steel structure office buildings.Most of them use section steel processing(such as H-beam,square steel,and round bar),which are formed by welding or bolting to form rigid components,and the length and cross-sectional size are customized according to the design load,and the bearing capacity can reach hundreds of kiloN.For example,the columns of large factories are supported by H-shaped steel columns,which not only meet the vertical load-bearing,but also provide a certain lateral stiffness to meet the needs of long-term use.The key characteristics of steel column support are reflected in three aspects:the material is mainly mild steel(Q235,Q355),and the yield strength≥235MPa to ensure load-bearing safety;the structure pays attention to joint strengthening,such as the adjustable model is equipped with stiffeners at the connection between the thread and the steel pipe,and the fixed model is anti-corrosion treatment at the connection point between the column base and the foundation;the installation follows the standardization,the adjustable model needs to ensure the verticality(deviation≤1‰),and the fixed model needs to be firmly connected to the foundation through embedded parts to avoid displacement.When using,three points should be noted:first,it is strictly forbidden to use overload according to the load matching specifications(such as 25kN load-bearing steel column support,which cannot be used for 30kN load scenarios);second,environmental adaptation,galvanized steel column support is preferred for humid and outdoor scenes,and painted models can be selected in drying rooms;third,regular inspection,temporary models need to check whether the threads are slippery,steel pipes are bent,and permanent models need to regularly check the anti-corrosion layer and connecting joints to ensure long-term safety.
