Tie Rod Screws are specialized tension fasteners in concrete formwork engineering, used to resist the side pressure of liquid concrete when pouring concrete, preventing formwork bursting or excessive deformation. Its core functions include:Structural stability:Fixing the formwork on both sides through two-way tensile force to ensure the design thickness and dimensional accuracy of the wall/column.Waterproof control(with waterstop model):The middle welded waterstop blocks the water penetration path, improving the concrete's impermeability performance.Load transfer:Evenly distributes the concrete pressure to the formwork support system.
System composition and material Screw:Material:Q235/Q345 carbon steel,hot-dip galvanized or epoxy coating on the surface to prevent rust.Thread:full thread(general type)or partial thread(three-section special).Diameter:M12-M20(selected according to the pressure design of the concrete side).Waterstop Assembly:Metal waterstop plate:50×50×3mm galvanized steel plate, laser welded in the middle of the screw.Water expansion ring:rubber/polymer sealing ring,150%-300%expansion in water volume.End fittings:High-strength nuts(grade 8 and above),gaskets,PVC casing(reusable in non-waterproof areas).Key points of construction process Drilling positioning:The hole diameter is greater than the screw diameter of 2-4mm,and the verticality deviation is≤2°.The spacing is calculated according to the pressure on the concrete side(usually 400-600mm).Installation seal:The waterstop is placed in the center,1/3 wall thickness≥the inside of the formwork. The expansion ring should avoid contact with water in advance.End treatment:After removal, the exposed screw is removed and the hole is sealed with waterproof mortar. The three-stage screw rotates and dismantles the outer rod, leaving the middle section.
