What is a Through-Wall Tie Rod?
A through-wall tie rod, fully named through-wall dual-end tie rod,is a fully threaded rod used in construction engineering together with retaining clips(wing nuts)and nuts to connect and secure formwork. It is typically made of ordinary carbon structural steel.
Classification of Through-wall Tie Rods:
Fully Threaded Rod:A completely threaded rod that serves as the main component of through-wall dual-end tie rods.
Standard Through-Wall Tie Rod:Composed of a fully threaded rod, retaining clips, and nuts.It functions to stabilize formwork during construction and can be extracted from the wall after formwork removal for reuse.
Waterstop Tie Rod:Features a welded waterstop plate based on the standard through-wall tie rod design, providing waterproofing functionality.Commonly used in building construction, box culverts, basements, sewage treatment plants, and other engineering projects.
Characteristics of Through-Wall Tie Rods:
Simple structure with low manufacturing costs.
High compressive and tensile strength.
Compact size and lightweight, offering excellent portability, storage convenience, and operational flexibility.
