Main Application Scenarios of Wall-through Screw Rods

Wall-through screw rods,as core load-bearing and positioning components in concrete construction,play an irreplaceable role in ensuring the stability of formwork systems and the quality of concrete structures during pouring.Their application scenarios mainly focus on projects requiring high structural strength,waterproof performance,and precise formwork positioning,covering the following key fields:

1.Underground Engineering

Underground projects are the most typical application scenarios for wall-through screw rods,mainly due to their dual functions of formwork fixation and waterproofing.

Basement Exterior Walls:In the construction of basement exterior walls(especially those with anti-seepage requirements of grade P6 or above),wall-through screw rods are used to clamp the inner and outer formworks of the wall.The built-in water-stop sheets or water-stop rings on the screw rods can block the water seepage path along the rod body,preventing groundwater or surface water from penetrating into the basement.

Underground Garages&Civil Air Defense Projects:These projects have strict requirements for structural load-bearing and anti-seepage.Wall-through screw rods ensure that the concrete walls(such as garage retaining walls and civil air defense partition walls)maintain a flat cross-section and stable thickness during pouring,while avoiding water leakage caused by formwork deformation.

Underground Pools&Tanks:For underground water storage pools,sewage treatment tanks,and chemical storage tanks,wall-through screw rods not only fix the formwork but also need to be matched with corrosion-resistant materials(such as stainless steel screw rods)and enhanced water-stop structures to resist the erosion of water or chemical media and prevent leakage at the penetration points.

2.Above-Ground Concrete Wall Projects

In above-ground construction,wall-through screw rods are mainly used to ensure the construction quality of vertical concrete structures.

Shear Walls in High-Rise Buildings:High-rise residential buildings and office buildings rely on shear walls for earthquake resistance and load-bearing.During shear wall construction,wall-through screw rods are arranged at intervals(usually 400-600mm horizontally and vertically)to fix the formwork,preventing the formwork from expanding outward due to the lateral pressure of concrete,thus ensuring the verticality and flatness of the shear wall.

Curtain Walls&External Enclosure Walls:For concrete external enclosure walls with thermal insulation or decorative layers,wall-through screw rods help maintain the design thickness of the wall(e.g.,200-300mm)and avoid formwork displacement,ensuring that the subsequent installation of thermal insulation boards or decorative materials is smooth.

Industrial Plant Walls:Industrial plants(such as machinery manufacturing plants and chemical plants)often have thick concrete walls(over 300mm)to bear equipment vibration or external impacts.Wall-through screw rods with high tensile strength(e.g.,grade 8.8)are used here to ensure that the formwork can withstand the large lateral pressure of concrete during pouring.

3.Special-Scenario Construction

In addition to conventional concrete walls,wall-through screw rods are also widely used in special construction scenarios with strict technical requirements.

Water Conservancy Projects:In the construction of sluice gates,dam retaining walls,and canal linings,wall-through screw rods need to have excellent corrosion resistance(usually hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel)to resist long-term immersion in water.At the same time,the water-stop structure is optimized to prevent water seepage from affecting the safety of water conservancy facilities.

Bridge&Tunnel Projects:In the construction of bridge piers,tunnel side walls,and box girders,wall-through screw rods are used to fix large-scale formworks(such as hydraulic climbing formworks).Their high load-bearing capacity ensures that the formwork remains stable even under the action of wind or construction vibration,and the detachable design(e.g.,three-section screw rods)facilitates later formwork removal and avoids damage to the concrete structure.

Precast Concrete Component Production:In the factory production of precast concrete walls,beams,and columns,wall-through screw rods are used to assemble the prefabricated formworks,ensuring the consistency of component dimensions(e.g.,length,width,and thickness)and surface flatness,which is crucial for the on-site assembly accuracy of prefabricated buildings.
